I’ve taking LRT since I’m 18 years old. It’s one of my main transports to work as I still don’t own a car yet. Many of my friends or my colleagues always say...
“XX, why don’t you buy yourself a car?”
(Yes I want. Who doesn’t want a comfortable life huh?)
“I believe you can afford a car right?”
(Yes I can...I just don’t see the need to have one yet.)
“Go get a kancil or whatever small car, it’s pretty cheap and affordable now!”
(I don’t like kancil, to me it looks fragile and I believe perdua had already stopped producing kancil, right?)
“Don’t you feel tired taking the public transport?”
(Yes, I sleep and snore everyday in the public transport, I’ve even trained myself on “Sleep standing”)
“Don’t you think the public transport is full of foreigner and it’s dirty?”
(Yes I know, but what the heck? This is Malaysia, what you expect huh?)
Sometime I do complain alot and feel “urrghhhhh” whenever I need to take public transport, this kind of situation will only happen when – it’s raining or when it very very very pack in the train or bus.
The main reason I hate to take public transport when its rain heavily in KL is when you’re in the train, everyone are wet and smell “urrghhhhful” and then my shoes is WET.
Then the bus, to go home, I only have 2 options: chee bye Metro bus or chee bye SJ bus. I hate both of them. The driver has F1 driving skill and the air-con is freaking cold that can freeze the hell out of you! (Not to forget their's song list)
...I shall blog about those buses someday.
Okay, back to the topic. This Monday morning, as usual, I hop down from the bus and transfer to Ampang LRT at Maluri Station. Then, I’ll line up and wait for the train to come and as usual some uneducated people will start to cut the line. Today, one aunty A cut my line and because I’m kind of in the good mood, I let her be. (Normally, I’ll tell those who cut my line to line up one)
Then the train arrived and suddenly I have this evil thought of going in first instead of letting this aunty A goes in (it’s my rights what, I line up and she didn’t), so I’ve cut her line and enter the train before her. So, I’ve entered the train and the story starts...
Don’t know it is for revenge of “I cutting her line” or because she’s being pushed by some other moron, she start to push me and I’ve bang on the pole in the train. Because I’m in the good mood, I tend to ignore it and swallow the pain. When the door close, that aunty A started her drama, she turned over her face toward me and start scolding me.
“Hey, your backpack is blocking my way and I almost been caught by the door!” her saliva flying all over the place...and I just give her a blank face.
Then she continued, “Hey, I’m talking to you, can you please answer me? Don’t you have the command sense of not carrying your backpack behind your back when you’re entering the train? It is a very selfish act!” (Walao, indirectly she’s shooting everyone who carry backpack in the train lor) and here goes my limit, this aunty trigger my anger...I’m very dulan already!
I replied: “Aunty, it’s a backpack, of cause I carry it on my back.” Then that aunty A started to get more irritated and raise up her voice and said : “You youngster have no manners at all! How could you reply elder people like this? Where is your respect?” then I get even pissed and people in train started to stare at both of us.
So I replied her again “Where’s your respect then? I was lining up just now and you’ve cut my line, I let it be, then now you’ve pushed me and I’ve bang into the pole and I didn’t make any noise and then you started all this drama and scold me?” and again she said : “Your such a babarian!” before I get to replied her, there’s another aunty B in the train raise her voice against aunty A and said “I’ve observed you from the station till now, and you’ve cut people line and pushed peoples when you enter the train, you should be the one who keep quiet!”....
And wow....I was so happy, I bet that aunty B gets the heat too when she see all this incidents. Then of cause aunty a won’t keep quiet she keep on arguing how WE youngster should be considerate on carrying our belonging in the train, not to fight back when elders are teaching....bla bla bla....both of them just keep on “you one sentence, I one sentence” from Chan Sow Lin station till Masjib Jamek station.
And where am I? I’ve sneak into the corner and pay full attention watching this “ping-pong” show.
Another dramatic morning.
Moral of the stories: Civilization is a method of living, an attitude of equal respect for all men. Not because your older and everyone will need to blindly respect you!
